The Physiologic Flexibility Program
What is Physiologic Flexibility?
The goal of physiologic flexibility is to become more robust, or anti-fragile. We can maximize the adaptations of training by using 4 homeostatic regulators. These regulators include temperature, pH, blood-glucose, and O2/CO2. Each of these regulators have two ends of the spectrum, and first we seek to expand our bodies capacities to tolerate the end points, then we work to switch between. So, for example, in the category of temperature, we have both cold and heat. Initially, the goal is to improve tolerance to cold. Then we can switch to heat. As the body adapts, doing something like contrast bathing will push the adaptation further.
The Physiologic Flexibility Program is our flagship program. It is true to our values of being the best version of yourself. It is why we named our company “DYNAMIC”. If you want to be hard to kill, this is your program.
This is a 3 month program that builds upon your homeostatic regulators (pH, B/G, O2/CO2, temp) through specific action items. Some examples of action items are Wim Hof breathing, exposure training (ice bath, sauna), breath holds, distress exercise, BFR training, low intensity aerobic work with box breathing, parasympathetic breathing, tabata on an assault bike, double sighs, and the 800 gram challenge. Don’t know what these are? No problem, the exercises come with videos explaining what they are and how to do it.
This program can be layered on top of an already existing work out program, it’s not meant to replace your workouts. You’ll find your workouts get better even within the first month of this program. If you don’t have a workout program, we’ll give you access to some our templated workouts such as a push/pull/leg spit, or a German Volume Training program, just to name a few.
